SG Indaba News - Shamwari Group Social Media

It’s Indaba time and we’ll help you stay ahead in the travel industry with some useful tips on Shamwari Group’s latest product developments!

We’ve covered the Forever Wild Campaign and the unveiling of Fitzpatrick’s at Jock. Today we look at what the Group is doing on Social Media.

First off, to make reservations even easier, guests can now book through the Groups 3 Facebook pages. Guests simply log on via the ‘Booking Enquiry’ tab on the Jock Safari Lodge, Sanbona Wildlife Reserve or Shamwari Game Reserve Facebook pages and receive a 5% discount for being a fan.

And to top that off we’re currently running 2 online competitions. You could WIN a 2 night safari at Jock Safari Lodge in Kruger National Park, South Africa for two, including all accommodation, game drives and meals by liking our Facebook Page and answering this easy question: Why are Africa’s Big 5 called the Big 5? Enter here http://bit.ly/Hw2Pxg or click on the Competition tab at the top of the Facebook page today! Competition closes 31 May 2012.

For Sanbona Wildlife Reserve we paired up with Lindt Master Swiss Chocolatiers and the Endangered Wildlife Trust for their Easter Gold Bunny Campaign. This Easter 70c of each Lindt Gold Bunny sold was donated to the Endangered Wildlife Trusts Riverine Rabbit Programme. By finding the Lindt Gold Bunny on our website, you could win 2 nights at Sanbona for you and a friend! T&Cs apply. Enter here http://bit.ly/HLQbg6 or click on the Competition tab at the top of the Facebook page. Competition closes 31 May 2012. Read more about the critically endangered Riverine Rabbit here.

Follow our properties this winter via Facebook and Twitter for more giveaways, specials, info on our added value activities and awesome video snippets from the reserve!

Come and visit us at our Indaba stand: ICCS011 in the ICC Hall! If you can't make it follow us on Twitter @shamwarisafari, @jocksafari, @sanbonasafari. See you online!

The big five were given their names because many years ago hunters voted them the five most dangerous and unpredictable African animals to hunt on foot.
