I just recently stayed at Jock Fitzpatrick's. What an amazing experience. Out of all the places we visited our group agreed that Fitzpatrick Lodge was our favorite. It was small/intimate and offered us the opportunity to get to know the staff as well as enjoying the amenities. The best part for us was the game drives with Estiaan. He was so knowledgeable and insightful. Thank You for helping to create memories that will last a lifetime! Many Thanks to all. Renee L.

Unforgettable, simply unforgettable. I think of this wonderful 5 star lodge and it's amazing 10 star staff often since we've been and I would jump at the opportunity to go back! It was the experience of a lifetime! I would recommend this lodge to anyone and everyone! Two thumbs way up to the manager, Edward, Jaycee, Naomi, and the knowledgeable rangers! Thank you!

We would like you thank you again for the fantastic stay we had! Looking back to our honeymoon, the days at Jock Safari Lodge were definitely the highlight!!! There's absolutely nothing we could complain about. It was just perfect from the beginning to the end and that's exactly the reason why we enjoyed the days at Jock Safari Lodge so much! We really appreciated the friendly and helpful staff, the awesome food and of course our guide Jacob. He really made our game drives an adventure and he teached us so many things about the wildlife in Kruger National Park. We loved most, that he always respected the animals and the nature. Unfortunately this wasn't to be taken for granted as we found out in some other Parks :( We still keep on remembering all the things he told us when we're looking at our photos :) at least we have some of his teachings on our video records! Thank you a thousand times Jacob! You're the greatest guide ever and we'll always keep you and your teachings in our minds! We'll definitely come back to Jock Safari Lodge and bring some family members with us :) Thank you again and take care! Best ragrds! Fabienne & Thomas

Thank you so much for a fantastic stay. Just a pity I only had two nights available. Thanks to your fantastic staff for their excellent service and I'm still trying to lose the kilos added by the awesome food. Finally....32 rhinos in one day....awesome!!

What an amazing experience, the best holiday we ever had. From the time we arrived the personal experience was more than first class, the staff are all such happy people who clearly love the job they do. Lyle was our driver and he had so much knowledge to share with us about the bush and the many animals we got to see. In one night drive we got to see 6 leopards which was pretty amazing, we got to see the big five and some of the secret seven. The sun sets and sun rise were stunning and also the stars at night amazing. The lodge was five stars and more and the staff like our best friends. We loved the hot cholcolate and amarula.when we came back from our drives. We stayed 4 nights and did 32 hours of drives. Thank you so much for a very wonderful and amazing holiday and we hope to get back to jock one day . As Lyle would say awesome and crazy.

A massive thank you to the whole team at Jock for making our stay the most memorable experience of our lives. We visited you on the first part of our honeymoon and you certainly set the standards high! Everything from the accommodation, the food, the staff, the game drives, the views was absolutely first class. We couldn't believe our luck when on our first game drive we were fortunate enough to see a lioness and her cubs, with dad keeping a watchful eye close by. We loved the social aspect at Jock and nothing was too much trouble. We actually felt more like we were staying with friends! We haven't stopped talking about our stay with you since we've been back and we both agree that it is the best thing we have ever done. Will and Carrie Bowen

It was my husbands 60th birthday present and it was the best present ever(his words not mine) I wish it wasnt so far away so we could just go again but maybe in a couple of years when I am 60 he will return the favour. on our first day an elephant just walked past our lodge, the next day a giraffe did the same, there are so many things we saw and did,its not possible to put it all on here. The walking safari we did with Lyle and (ive forgotten his name sorry) was absolutely the best thing ever.we saw elephant, hippos and rhino.all at close me goosebumps just thinking about how close we were.thanks again to all the

To the whole team at Jock Lodge - THANK You for contributing to an experience that will live long in our memories. As a native South African and no stranger to the bush and Kruger, the Jock experience was one of the top bush experiences I have experienced. Everything from the hospitality, the amenities, the staff (and of course the game) exceeded my expectations. In addition, I brought first timers to Africa from the US and you helped me create a once-in-a-lifetime experience for them that they will never forget. Special Thanks to our ranger Dave, who's love of the bush is infectious and not only resulted in spectacular game experiences but also ensured we were the last to return in to camp after every drive - We will definitely return! Louis hi, Just a short note to thank you and your staff for the efforts made to accommodate us during our all too short stay. To say that we were hugely impressed with the entire operation from discreet service staff to outstanding service from the hospitality staff. Meals were outstanding and our compliments to the chef and the kitchen staff. The game viewing drives were eagerly anticipated and the variety and quantity of sightings was unbelievable. Jock runs like a well oiled machine and I think the fact that our friends seem to be avoiding us since our return, is that we have been constantly telling them of our experience. We put it down to jealousy on their part, rather than the boredom of hearing us talk about our experiences. Finally our sincere thanks to you for your hospitality and personal efforts to make our stay an absolute dream come true . Best regards Paul and Lorraine Gregg

All we can say is "wow". While John was born in South Africa, it was my first visit, and it is one I shall not forget! Dave Olson, our Ranger, was incredible with his knowledge and his instincts. The Management at Jock was top-notch, having anticipated every possible need. Our room, Farley's Drift, from the book, was perfect. Thank you so much for a wonderful stay. And I must add - we left Jock and headed north to Satara for two days, then onto Sable Camp at Mala Mala. Jock was our number ONE favorite for the trip.

My husband and I visited Jock for our honeymoon and our stay far exceeded our expectations! The rangers were so knowledgeable, such fantastic company and ensured we had the best animal viewing possible. The lodges are just idyllic and the hospitality first class. We very much intend to return one day as we just cannot go through life without revisiting this amazing place.

As part of my dream in taking our adult children to Zimbabwe, my birthplace, we included a trip to Kruger. An agent who specialises in Africa gave us a list of 3 camps and we finally chose Jocks. It totally filled and exceeded all expectations. The staff are what make the place and Louis runs a tight ship. Clearly only happy people are hired and it was a joy to hear the African ladies sing as they did their duties outside. The barman (name forgotten) is one of the nicest people we have ever met. Edgar and Raymond were our nominated drivers and they made the safaris a joy. We quickly totted up the Big Five, their skills are amazing. They have such knowledge and a gentle humour. We loved the transport and when you see what other tours can look like, with people squeezed in rows of 5 in enclosed buses you really appreciate what you have. Edgar and Raymond obviously had a bit if fun at our expense in their language! When I asked them to be in our family photo on our sad last day Raymond joked he didn't want to be a part of our family! Needless to say we have a lovely photo of them framed at home with us all. The accommodation and food are what dreams are made of. We found our big table for 8 easily at each meal and they are respectful of other guests, sometimes joining them at meals, other times having a table for 2 near the pool. On our last evening the room was set up fit for a wedding with foliage draped over the tables. The wine is top drop and a joy was going up to the bar at the end of the day. Our room and plunge pool and my candlelit baths and chance to sleep out on the deck ( with a mosquito net thoughtfully ordered by Louis as I have a snake phobia)! are some of my most precious memories. We had to leave at 4.30 am to catch the plane to Vic Falls. A breakfast box was made up for us and as a parting gift we saw 4 out of the Big 5 in half an hour on the way out, including 2 lions mating! That is why we have those early calls! (On the way in within a few minutes we saw African Painted Dogs which are not often seen.) I would love to return but part of me wonders whether it is best to have these perfect memories forever. However I am planning on sending my cousins there as a thank you for their hospitality to us in Zimbabwe. I cannot recommend Jocks highly enough!! There was not one fault. I have a lump in my throat when I remember those "sundowner" icy cold drinks high up on a hill or next to a waterhole while elephants wondered past us and hippos wallowed as the African sun set.It is a family moment to savour forever. We are so fortunate to have had such an experience. Bless all at Jocks.
