At Shamwari Conservation Experience we offer you the vital work experience required to become a vet.

These days most universities will only consider your application if you have had several weeks of experience, and you will be expected to gain more experience whilst studying.

Shamwari Conservation Experience offers veterinary work experiences course for whether you are applying for the first time, or looking to expand your portfolio.

Our courses are carefully designed to meet EMA criteria whilst giving you the chance to work on the award-winning Shamwari Game Reserve.

The courses give students the hands-on experience on the best ways to treat African wildlife. Students work alongside our experienced specialists on Shamwari Game Reserve.

“Pre” Vet Eco Experience

This course is specifically for students wanting to apply to a vet school. Previous work experience is an important consideration when approving applications into Vet Schools.

The programme includes both theoretical and practical activities around Veterinary Science, Conservation in the context of African Wildlife and Vet School applications.

Vet Eco Safari Experience (EMS)

This course is for students looking for hands on experience in treating African wildlife and will contribute towards your EMS for Veterinary Science.

The programme includes both theoretical and practical activities around Veterinary Science, Conservation in the context of African Wildlife and Vet School applications.

Vet Courses are run between June and August each year only
